The Association office has the ACP forms to be picked up immediately. As you know, the information requested in these forms is extremely important and each church in our Association needs to complete the form. Please call Patsy Combs at the Association office at 452-4746 to arrange pick up of your church’s form.
REMINDER to all church secretaries.. the third Monday of the month is set aside for lunch and fellowship. Shoney’s is the place and the time is 12 noon. Hope to see you there.
Casa de Dios will be having a free BBQ and concert on August 14th. The group Emmanuel will be coming from Morganton to minister in music. (6-9 p.m.)
Canton First… will be having Off-Site Evening services in August beginning August 1st with Mission Madness at the Colonial theatre and Annex with special celebration of their 3 Worldchangers Trips this summer. August 8 will be Potluck and Porters at Broyhill, and August 15 is Bring a Friend to Sunday School and a Ball Game with the Asheville Tourists. New Life Groups begin in August and September including a Grief-care group. Call the church for more information at 648-2367.
Bethel Baptist will host a Women’s Conference on August 28th. The guest speaker is Janice Drum. Registration will be from 8 – 9 a.m. with breakfast served. The conference will continue until 2 p.m. with lunch included. The cost for this conference is $15.00 (women 18 or younger, cost is $5.00). Dutch Cove will host a gospel singing on Sunday evening, August 22nd at 7 p.m. featuring the Porter Family from Haywood County.
Church WMU and Women’s Ministry Leaders will meet on August 9th at 7 p.m. at the Haywood Baptist Association facility to plan the September 7th Missions Night with Tom and Shirley Smith. Please be praying about that event and how to create interest for churches to attend.
A fellowship meal is planned for all wives of senior pastors, youth pastors, associate pastors, etc.
The dinner will be held at Camp New Life on October 2, 2010. There will be a time of fellowship and worship beginning at 4 p.m. with dinner at 5 p.m. All churches are asked to donate $20.00 so these ladies can enjoy themselves without cost. Churches that have more than one pastor are asked to donate $20 for each potential attendee. Any additional donations would be appreciated since some churches may not have the financial ability to give. Donations from churches without pastors would also be appreciated. Please make checks payable to the Haywood Baptist Association. Any funds received that are unused will be donated to Camp New Life.
